硅藻土的助濾特性大致有以下幾點：
1.性能穩(wěn)定，適應性好。由于硅藻土助濾劑主要由二氧化硅組成，所以化學性能穩(wěn)定，在不同溫度和濃度的酸液中也能適用，不影響其原液的基本性質。
2.可獲得較高的濾速和理想的澄清度。硅藻土助濾劑尺寸差異大，骨架堅硬，富有單孔和復孔及多種形狀的特點，致使過濾的過程中濾層無法緊密結聚，具有較大的表面積和較大的孔隙度，從而達到較高的濾速和理想的澄清度。
