The iBind Western Starter Kit for fluorescent detection includes an iBind Western Device, iBind Cards, and an iBind Fluorescent Detection Solution Kit, so you can get started with automated blot processing right away.

The iBind Western Device is a small benchtop device that automates western blot processing (immunodetection). It applies mechanical pressure to an iBind Card to generate sequential lateral flow (SLF) of immunodetection solutions for the blocking, antibody binding, and washingsteps. The glass fiber matrix of the iBind Card allows for homogenous and consistent flow of the solutions over the membrane, increasing the antigen-antibody interaction.

The iBind Western Device allows all solutions to be prepared and loaded in the device at the start of the procedure; all subsequent steps proceed automatically through SLF action—no electricity or batteries required. Blots are ready for the final detection steps in approximately 2.5 hours.
